The Small Steps Program

May 08, 2024

The Fiona Unity Foundation, in collaboration with the LIDI Foundation, recently undertook a heartwarming mission to bring mobility and hope to those in need in central Lombok. Our team visited two villages, where we distributed wheelchairs to disabled individuals, profoundly impacting their lives.

Our first recipient was a stroke victim from central Lombok who had been housebound due to his inability to move without a wheelchair. With the gift of a wheelchair, he now has the opportunity to explore the outside world and regain a sense of freedom and independence that he thought was lost forever.

Our second recipient was Dipan Maulana, an 8-year-old boy from the Regency of Repuk Sintung Desa Karang Sidemen Batukliang Utara, Lombok. Born paralyzed, Dipan had faced immense challenges from a young age. Thanks to the generous donations from our supporters, we were able to provide him with a wheelchair that will significantly improve his quality of life.

These stories of transformation would not be possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors and donors. Your contributions have made a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us in this mission.

At the Fiona Unity Foundation, we believe in the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together for a common cause. By providing essential mobility aids, we are not just giving wheelchairs; we are giving the gift of freedom, hope, and a brighter future.

Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for your incredible generosity and for helping us change lives one wheelchair at a time. Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of the disabled in Lombok and beyond.
